- Mop brushes are soft-bristled with a rounded head, most often associated with watercolour painting but useful for a variety of mediums. When used with watercolour these brushes ar ideal for covering large areas with a wash of thin paint. Mob brushes can also be used for blending paint and softening edges. Mop brushes can also be used for applying glazing.
